For those of you with less common first names, I feel your disappointment over never finding a mug, keychain or door plate with your name on it at the souvenir shop.
Even those with common names but a slightly different spelling would be out of luck finding something with their name spelled correctly.
I know some people who have spent decades looking for their name on something.
Perhaps that first trip to Disney World or to Niagara Falls where there are so many souvenir shops – and nothing.
And a heartfelt apology to my daughter Shaunessy who I’m sure has never found anything with her name on it off the shelf.
