The nominated candidate list for the 2021 Nova Scotia Provincial Election is now final.
Elections Nova Scotia released the finalized list shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon with 230 candidates nominated in the 55 electoral districts.
Elections Nova Scotia initially reported 229 candidates running at Wednesday’s deadline, before adding another candidate later, stating “One candidate’s nomination was in process before 2 pm,” but was not included in its initial total before later being finalized.
The Liberal, NDP, and PC parties have candidates running in all 55 ridings.
The Green Party are running in just over 75 per cent of ridings, with nominated candidates in 43 provincial races.
Rounding out the field are 16 candidates from the Atlantica Party and six independent candidates.
