Ukrainians who have recently arrived in Nova Scotia will now be able to easily exchange their Ukrainian licenses for Nova Scotian ones.
Access Nova Scotia has yet to release the full details on the program, but staff at Access Nova Scotia confirmed with our newsroom today that they had recently been authorized to offer equivalency license exchanges to Ukraine nationals.
Essentially it enables Ukrainians to walk into any Acess Nova Scotia location and trade their Ukrainian license for one from Nova Scotia that matches the class on the Ukraine license.
This is the most simplified license exchange program offered to foreign nationals by Nova Scotia, and Ukraine joins just a handful of other countries that are eligible.
