Nova Scotians are encouraged to get out and discover the natural beauty surrounding them this weekend.
Saturday is Canada’s Parks Day.
To celebrate, events are being held across the country.
In Lunenburg County, Risser’s Beach will host a Sandcastle competition between 11:00am and 5:00pm.
While people in Yarmouth county can participate in a scavenger hunt and barbeque at Ellenwood Lake Provincial park from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
Parks Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of July.
