The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board announced today that they will put the interrupter clause into effect at midnight.
The clause exists as a tool to respond to rapid changes in gas prices.
In this case, it comes as gas prices continue to plummet amidst fears surrounding Covid-19. The situation is further exacerbated by recent moves from Saudi Arabia to lower the price of its oil exports.
The NSUARB has not said yet what direction or how much the price is changing.
