Austin Clifford Langille

With a deep sense of loss, the family of Austin Clifford Langille, 77, of Mahone Bay, share the news of his passing on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.

Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Clifford and Vivian (Adams) Langille.

Austin leaves behind his daughter, Daphne Ernst of Wileville, son James (Trevor Hannam), of Lunenburg; very proud grandfather to Melanie (Ryan Collicutt) Corkum, Sarah (Nigel) Theriault, Jacob (Joe Woods) Corkum; sisters, Elaine (Thomas) Barkhouse, Martins Point, Irma (Kerry) Weaver, Halifax, Rose-Marie (Russell) Swinimer, Martins River; mother of his children, Betty Langille; special friend, Carolyn Knickle; close extended family Jackie and Chris Mosher and boys, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Austin was predeceased by his brothers, Norman, Loring and Wade.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service in Martin’s River Cemetery, Martins River with a date to be confirmed shortly. Arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Krista Knickle, nurse practitioner, and all the staff at South Shore Regional Hospital. We are deeply grateful to the home care workers, palliative care staff, and all the volunteers who visited Austin at home, shared time playing cards and games, and brought joy through service dog visits. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to the VON and the Red Cross for the care and compassion shown to Austin during his time of need.
