WAGNER, Sharon Irene – Of Weymouth, NS. It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Irene Wagner announces her passing on October 17, 2025 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Elizabeth Joudrey.

Sharon started teaching in Yarmouth in 1972, she was a devoted teacher who taught at Yarmouth, Weymouth, Barton, and Carleton schools at both the elementary and junior high levels. She loved her work and especially enjoyed spending time with her students. After retiring from teaching, she continued to volunteer her time in the classroom.

When she wasn’t teaching, she enjoyed knitting, reading, and gardening, and she was an avid fan of The Big Bang Theory and Coronation Street.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dwight Wagner; daughters Hika Wagner, Shayna (Jurgen) Griegoschewski, and Darby (Michael) Thomas; and son Todd Wagner. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Makayla and Dylan Thomas.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Elizabeth Joudrey, of Bridgewater.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. There will be no visitation. A Public Graveside Service for Sharon will be held 1 pm, Friday April 24, 2026, in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, NS, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating the service.
