Only scattered power outages remain in N.S. following latest storm to blast Maritimes

Nasty weather prompted cancellations, travel disruptions and power outages across the Maritimes.

A mix of snow, rain and intense winds hit the region Wednesday.

Environment Canada has ended its weather alerts for Nova Scotia.

According to Nova Scotia Power, several thousand customers were in the dark during the storm, but there are only a few scattered outages remaining.

Drive carefully though – there are reports of black ice, slick on/off ramps and bridges, and vehicles off the road.

Meanwhile if you’re heading to PEI, the Confederation Bridge has reopened after being closed to all traffic Wednesday due to high winds.
