Lockdown lifted after “threat” at Bridgewater high school

A few tense hours at Park View Education Centre in Bridgewater.

The high school was put under lockdown on Tuesday morning over a threat.

In an email sent out to parents at 11:23 a.m. Parkview Principal Vicki Crozier indicated police were called in to investigate but it is not clear what caused the lockdown.

A lockdown is place to prevent students from leaving their classroom and the doors are locked.

In images shared online police could be seen at the school in full uniform with their weapons out.

The situation was cleared by lunchtime with students being allowed to return to class.

No injuries were reported.
