The Bridgewater Bulldogs peewee ‘AAA’ baseball team will get a chance to defend their Eastern Canadian Championship crown. The Bulldogs won the provincials over the weekend, defeating the Tri-County Rangers 10-6 in the final. Coach Dennis Woodworth says back-to-back provincial titles at a “AAA” level has never been accomplished in Bridgewater.
Bulldogs player Zack Zinck was named tournament MVP. The local club will head to the Eastern Canadian Championships from September 6-9 in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
