Philippe could arrive in N.S. for Thanksgiving

We may have an unwelcome guest for Thanksgiving dinner.

Forecasters are keeping their eye on Tropical Storm Philippe.

Environment Canada meteorologist Ian Hubbard says it could arrive on the weekend.

“It’s quite far away, but we do see the 5 day track on the hurricane page, it’s bringing it a little further north, to just south of Nova Scotia and into our response zone on Sunday morning,” said Hubbard.

Hubbard says there’s still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the track of the storm, as it could cover an 800 kilometre radius.

He encourages Nova Scotians to stay on top of the forecast the next few days.
