Police Investigating Four Robberies in Queensland and Hubbards

The RCMP and Halifax Regional Police are reminding people in Queensland and Hubbards to lock their doors after a string of robberies in those areas.

Police say that between June 8 and June 16 there were two robberies in Queenland and two in Hubbards. At this point, police do not know if the incidents are connected.

RCMP Cpl. Lisa Croteau says that the majority of the break-ins took advantage of unsecured properties, “In these cases, we’ve learned that either the doors were left unlocked or a window was left open,” Croteau said.

Croteau added that two of the break-ins took place in the middle of the day and one of the buildings robbed was a church, though she did not specify which one.

Police say despite the two areas being small communities where people trust their neighbours it’s still crucial that you secure your properties at all times. Anyone with information on the incidents in Queensland and Hubbards is asked to contact the RCMP or Nova Scotia Crimestoppers.
