Bayview Community School, Bluenose Academy, Bluenose Academy Pre-Primary and Mahone Bay Alternate School are all cancelled due to power outages Friday, April 12.
According to the Nova Scotia Power outage map, there were nearly 2000 customers in Bridgewater without electricity as of 7:30 a.m.
In an update at 10:30 a.m., the utility noted two outages affecting customers in the areas of Lunenburg, Heckman’s Island and East LaHave and surrounding areas.
NSP said the outages are due to a transmission interruption.
Estimated restoration time is 4:00 p.m. Friday.
