Premier in Boston to discuss trade and energy and attend tree lighting

Premier Houston is discussing trade and energy opportunities with Boston on Wednesday, December 3.

He is in Massachusetts to meet with Governor Maura Healey and Secretary of Energy and Environment Rebecca Tepper amid trade tensions between the two countries.

Houston will also attend the city’s annual tree lighting Thursday evening.

Nova Scotia sends a tree to Boston every holiday season as a thank you for helping during the Halifax Explosion.

This year, a nearly 14-metere white spruce from Lunenburg County was delivered.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu attended the tree-cutting ceremony that was in Martins Brook, Nova Scotia on November 12.
