McDonald’s announces 1 year price freeze on small coffee, McValue meal

Two staples at McDonald’s are now the same price for at least a year.

Newly appointed CEO of McDonald’s Canada Annemarie Swijtink announced Tuesday they are freezing the price of a small coffee at $1 and a McValue meal at $5, all day, every day.

The McValu meal also includes breakfast items.

In a news release, Switjtink says they are listening to what customers want.

“We hear you. That’s why we are making this commitment to you – because you have shown us your loyalty over the past six years,” says Switjink.

“This is about more than coupons and discounts. It’s always about delivering value for our guests and staying true to who we are – at our core.”

The move marks the first time McDonald’s has committed to a price lock of this nature.

The changes go in effect, Tuesday.
