Summer is always a great time along the South Shore. You probably have your favourite events, but being from Liverpool, Privateer Days has long been near the top of my list. There’s always lots of fun things to do, possibly too many to take in all of them. But it doesn’t stop me from trying.
There’s a fishing derby this year. It’s for kids, but I can still cheer them on. The parade. The food. And a downhill duck race that I have to check out.
That’s the only problem with many of our summer festivals. You have to plan your attack to make sure you squeeze as much as possible out of them.
In the meantime, the tents are up and soon the park will be filled. Hope to see you there.
