Public Health Warns Of COVID-19 Phone Scam

Nova Scotia Health is warning citizens of a new phone scam regarding COVID-19.

The automated call appears to be from Public Health, and says you’ve tested positive or you’re a close contact of a positive case.

They ask you to call a number and provide personal information.

Public Health says they don’t use these kind of calls to notify someone if they are a close contact.

They say they do use automated calls to provide test results, and you would identify yourself with the last four digits of your health card and your date of birth.
