Queens RCMP Lay Firearm Theft Charges Following Break and Enter

Queens County RCMP executed a search warrant on November 15, after months of investigation into a break-and-enter that took place in August at a home Mooers Road in Milton.

The execution of the search warrant which took place at a home on M Smith Road in White Point saw a 27 year-old man and a 25 year-old woman get arrested.

Investigators recovered several stolen firearms, ammunition, and other stolen property.

The pair now both face charges of; Possession of a Weapon Obtained by the Commission of an Offence, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of Stolen Property.

The man who was arrested is also facing some additional charges which include;

  • Breaking and Entering to Steal a Firearm;
  • Break, Enter and Commit;
  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm (3 counts);
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized;
  • Possession of Weapon Obtained by the Commission of an Offence;
  • Tampering with a Serial Number;
  • Theft under $5,000;
  • Mischief under $5,000;
  • Failure to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (2 counts)

The woman who was arrested has since been released and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court at a later date, while the man was remanded into custody.
