Rainfall warning remains in effect for N.S.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Nova Scotia, with additional rainfall amounts of 10 to 30 millimetres expected.

RELATED: Heavy rain moving across Nova Scotia

Higher totals are possible in areas of heaviest rain, particularly along the Atlantic coast.

The rain is forecast to end Tuesday afternoon in western Nova Scotia and Tuesday evening in eastern parts of the province.

Heavy downpours may result in flash flooding, water pooling on roads, and localized flooding in low-lying areas.

Environment Canada advises drivers to slow down if visibility is reduced, watch for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop when necessary.
