Rainfall warning with 25-30mm expected in south shore

More heavy rain is on the way.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the south shore from Lunenburg County to Shelburne.

The forecaster says to expect 25-30mm of rain following a few centimeters of snow Tuesday afternoon until Tuesday evening.

Environment Canada says the frozen ground isn’t able to absorb the additional rain combined with melting snow.

The warnings may spread further east as the storm nears.
