RCMP Charge Mill Cove Woman With Dangerous Driving

A 23 year-old Mill Cove woman has been charged after fleeing from police.

Lunenburg District RCMP say the woman was caught speeding but when they tried to pull her vehicle over, she drove off.

Police say she reached a speed in excess of over 170 km/h.

The incident happened Sunday evening at 8:45 on Highway 103 in Maitland.

The woman eventually pulled over near Exit 11 in Blockhouse.

A 35 year-old woman and seven month-old child were also in the vehicle.

The Mill Cove woman faces a number of charges including dangerous driving and fleeing police.

She is due in Bridgewater court on August 3.
