RCMP Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Collision On Highway 103

Lunenburg District RCMP say a 63-year-old Halifax man was killed in a motorcycle collision Sunday evening.

RCMP were first alerted to the collision near Exit 7 along Highway 103 around 5:15 p.m.

They arrived shortly after along with EHS and firefighters and discovered a motorcycle appeared to have lost control and struck a guard rail.

The driver of the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene.

Highway 103 had to be shut down for multiple hours as a collision reconstructionist investigated the crash.

According to Cpl. Chris Marshall, early findings of the investigation show the weather is not believed to have been a factor and the driver is believed to have been wearing all the necessary safety equipment.
