On Saturday, August 3, at 10:30 a.m., police, fire services, and EHS responded to reports of a crash near the 6500 block off Hwy. 366 in Amherst Shore. It was determined that a Honda Odyssey minivan was travelling east when it collided with a bicycle, which was also moving in the same direction.

The driver of the Honda, a 32-year-old Amherst woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by EHS. Three passengers in the vehicle, all children, were not physically injured.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
