RCMP investigating driver who attempted to lure child in Springhill

RCMP in Springhill are investigating after a man in a truck reportedly waved to a child on Pine Street, encouraging them to approach the vehicle.

The incident took place around 5 p.m. on November 4, when the man stopped his silver pickup truck and signalled to the child.

The child, who kept a safe distance, quickly informed a trusted adult, and the truck left the area.

Despite a search, the vehicle was not found.

The driver is described as having brown hair and wearing a mask that covered his nose and mouth, along with a sweater and pants, possibly in blue and green.

RCMP are asking anyone with information, or who may have experienced similar encounters, to contact them.
