Colchester County District RCMP are investigating a serious collision that occurred on Alton Road in East Stewiacke yesterday.
Around 3:30 p.m., Colchester County District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Alton Road. They say a Jeep Wrangler was travelling on Stewiacke Road and a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling on Alton Road when they collided at the intersection.
The motorcycle rider, a 36-year-old Indian Brook man, suffered life threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.
The driver, and sole occupant, of the Jeep, a 51-year-old Middle Sackville woman, was uninjured.
The intersection of Alton Road and Stewiacke Road had been closed several hours and has since reopened.
The RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
