Alcohol Believed To Be A Factor In Western Shore Boat Crash

Over the weekend Lunenburg RCMP says they responded to an incident that saw a boat crash into a rock wall.

Police say that the boat had been heading to shore around 10:30 p.m. on July 10, when it struck the wall. The boat suffered significant damage as a result.

The boat had four passengers on board at the time of the crash. Two sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital by EHS. The other two of the people were assessed by EHS at the scene and released.

RCMP do believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, however, no charges have been laid at this point.
