The Nova Scotia RCMP has finalized their provincial impaired driving stats for the past year.
2022 saw 1505 motorists charged with impaired driving offences across the province.
These include operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs as well as alcohol.
Citizens are asked to call 911 immediately if you see a motorist that is driving erratically or unsafely.
You will be asked to provide your name, a description of the vehicle and the driver, and the direction the vehicle travelled.
Drivers are reminded that refusing to comply with sobriety tests can result in the same criminal charges as impaired driving.
There are several penalties for driving impaired including fines and driving probation.
