RCMP seize drugs, cash, and unstamped tobacco in Lower Sackville

RCMP have charged two people from Lower Sackville following a drug trafficking investigation that led to the seizure of multiple substances, cash, and unstamped tobacco.

On April 29, officers with the Halifax Regional Detachment’s Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a targeted traffic stop on Highway 101. A man was arrested, and police say they seized cocaine, methamphetamines, and cash.

Later that night, a second person was arrested at a home on Quinella Court. Police searched the residence and a vehicle on the property, recovering additional cocaine, 200 meth pills, MDMA, drug paraphernalia, over $15,000 in cash, and unstamped tobacco.

Both individuals have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. They were held in custody and later released on conditions.

Their next court appearance is scheduled for July 9 in Dartmouth Provincial Court.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police are encouraging anyone with information about drug activity in the area to contact them or submit an anonymous tip through Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
