RCMP suspect arson in Tanner Settlement fire

Lunenburg District RCMP are investigating a suspected arson after a house fire in Tanner Settlement.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Tanner Settlement Road around 2:10 a.m. on Monday.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived, and the fire caused significant damage. No one was inside at the time.

Police say their initial investigation suggests the fire was deliberately set. The RCMP’s Forensic Identification Services and the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office are assisting with the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-634-8674 or submit an anonymous tip to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
