Extra enforcement against impaired driving.
RCMP in the province say you can expect more checkpoints on the road Saturday.
It’s National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day.
Police say they charge up to 200 drivers a month in Nova Scotia for being impaired by drugs or alcohol.
They say you should plan ahead as you go to your family and holiday get-togethers.
That includes having a designated driver or cab lined up, not drinking on an empty stomach and asking party guests if they have a safe ride home.
RCMP ask you to call them if you suspect someone is driving under the influence.
