A local festival that’s been supporting indie music since 2004 is changing locations.
Riverfest will be held Friday and Saturday this year at Fox Mountain Camping Park in Aylesford.
Previously, it was held on a hayfield in Pine Grove.
Jonathan Crouse helps organize the festival and the committee decided that change was needed.
“The opportunity to make it better and to have people more excited and more comfortable to enjoy, that’s awesome.”
Crouse admits though, it wasn’t an easy decision to switch locations.
“Riverfest was born in Pine Grove and the support that we’ve always received from local retailers and so pulling it away from there, that hurts.”
Trailers will be allowed for the first time in 15 years. There will also be serviced lots.
Entertainment includes nearly 30 artists or bands.
Music runs from 6 p.m until approximately 3 a.m on Friday. Then again from 10 a.m until approximately 3 a.m on Saturday.
