Roseway Manor evacuating residents

Roseway Manor, a senior living facility located in Shelburne County has made the decision to evacuate all of it’s residents to Acadia University in light of the ongoing wildfire situation.

Air quality statements have been issued for Shelburne County, and although they do not require people to evacuate Roseway Manor’s management team decided that as many of their residents suffer from respiratory issues they would proactively move their residents to an area of the province where air quality is better.

Buses have already begun taking residents along with staff to Acadia University, and they will be running back and forth throughout Tuesday.
