Poll shows support for governments in Atlantic Canada, Ottawa

The majority of Atlantic Canadians are okay with their provincial and federal governments.

Narrative Research says six-in-10 people reported some level of satisfaction with Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberals.

That’s the highest level since the end of 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Provincially, all four Atlantic provinces are still showing strong support.

New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt’s Liberals have a 63 per cent satisfaction rate.

That’s up four points from the last survey, and 38 points ahead of last August, when the Progressive Conservatives were in power.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston’s Progressive Conservatives have a 57 per cent satisfaction rate.

That’s down three points from the last survey, but three points ahead of August, 2024’s numbers.
