Have you ever been affected by a scary movie?
I’m not talking about while you’re watching it but thinking about it for days and weeks afterwards?
Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” didn’t bother me. Nor did “Psycho” (As a kid I was more of a bath guy then a shower guy)
I read the book “The Exorcist” and knew not to go see the movie, and still haven’t.
But it was the big summer movie release on this day in 1975 that affected me for years afterwards.
Jaws.
I didn’t go in the ocean over my head for years afterwards.
When deep sea fishing, I thought about the movie every time I leaned over the side of the boat expecting that Great White shark to make his move.
Did Jaws keep you away from the ocean or was their another movie that had you scared witless?
