Nova Scotia confirms second case of COVID-19 this week

The province confirmed one new COVID-19 case for the second consecutive day.

That means the provincial total rises to 1,063.

Provincial officials say the new case is a Nova Scotian who travelled outside of Canada.

Two cases are active in Nova Scotia and both are in the Central Zone.

The QEII Health Sciences Centre microbiology lab completed 388 tests on Tuesday and is operating 24-hours a day.

Nova Scotia has 53,847 negative test results and 998 individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved.
