Second-degree murder charges after man run over “several times”

RCMP in Nova Scotia have charged a man with second-degree murder after another man was intentionally struck with a truck and ran over several times.

Police say officers responded to a call Thursday evening a man had been run over by a truck in Dublin Shore.

They say they found a 44-year-old Lunenburg man dead at the scene.

Police say investigators determined the man had been run over several times, and the truck had fled.

58-year-old Terry Richard Johnson, from Bayport, was later arrested at a home on Highway 332.

They say Johnson remains in custody and is set to appear in Lunenburg Provincial Court to face second-degree murder charges June 21.
