Second Halifax-area gas leak in 4 days contained

Streets have reopened in an area of Dartmouth after a natural gas leak.

Crews responded to the 0-50 block of Primrose Street just before 10:30 a.m., Tuesday.

Halifax Professional Fire Fighters say a line was ruptured causing nearby homes to be evacuated while crews isolated the area and clamped the line.

This marks the second natural gas leak in HRM in four days. The first was in Halifax, Friday, that temporarily shut down the Victoria General.
