Second heat warning of summer hitting N.S.

It’s been a hot start to summer.

For the second time in just under a month, a heat warning is in effect for Nova Scotia.

Environment Canada meteorologist Ian Hubbard says it could continue into Wednesday.

“Humidex values are going to be quite warm, from 36 to 38 degrees. It’s going to be very hot and uncomfortable for the next two days,” said Hubbard.

He says temperatures will stay warm through the week, but they may not reach warning criteria.

We’re coming off a damp weekend.

Hubbard says some areas saw 100 millimetres of rain, especially in western Nova Scotia.
