There may be some severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Guysborough County, Halifax County, east of Porters Lake, Sydney and Cape Breton County.
Victoria country has a rainfall and severe thunderstorm warning in effect.
Parts of the South Shore are also likely to see some thunderstorms with Lunenburg, Queens and Yarmouth counties being put under a thunderstorm watch.
Environment Canada says there could be some heavy rain, strong winds and hail.
There could also be flash flooding.
The forecaster says to monitor for alerts
