Shag Harbour Area Resident Gives Perspective on Recent UFO Sightings

UFO sightings and objects being shot out of the sky have dominated the news and regenerated interest in the possibility of an extra-terrestrial visit.

A eyewitness to Nova Scotia’s Shag Harbour UFO crash in 1967 Laurie Wickens shared his perspective on the origin of these mysterious crafts. “The government hasn’t called it a UFO just a bunch of people have, the things they are shooting down are probably from China and did not come from outer space, they don’t seem to be UFO’s.”

Wickens is also the president of the Shag Harbour Incident Society dedicated to telling the story of the infamous UFO crash that put the community on the map.

The incident is celebrated annually with the Shag Harbour UFO Expo, set to be held on September 30th and October 1st this year.
