Shelburne County’s business community is set to be recognized.
The Business Excellence Awards are back for the first time in 5 years.
They’re taking place tonight at the River Hills Golf and Country Club in Clyde River.
Heidi Wagner with CBDC Shelburne says there are 5 categories at the sold-out event.
“Business of the Year, Rising Star Award, Local Love and Support Award (twice) and Employee of the Year,” said Wagner.
She says the Local Love and Support Award nominees are businesses that stepped up after this year’s wildfires.
Wagner says one business from Shelburne and one from Barrington will be recognized in that category.
“A lot of the nominations for that revolved around the wildfires, and the contributions those businesses made to their areas.”
