Shelburne RCMP Recover Kayakers Body

Shelburne RCMP announced today that they had assisted the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre with the recovery of the body of a missing man on Tuesday night.

At 7:43 p.m. the RCMP were alerted to a missing 28-year old Shelburne man who went kayaking around 5:30 p.m. but had not returned.

With the help from the crew of a local fishing vessel, the man and his kayak were located and the body was recovered by the JRCC. The man received further medical assistance in Yarmouth, however was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:30 p.m.
