April fools us again with an early spring snowfall in the forecast.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Nova Scotia calling for up to 20 cm of snow Wednesday overnight and through Friday morning.
It will start snowing later on Thursday across Cape Breton.
Rain may mix with snow over western parts of the province Thursday night.
The forecaster says it will be very wet and heavy snow with gusty easterly winds which may cause tree branches to break and utility outages.
