Site chosen for new Roseway Manor in Shelburne

A site has been selected for the new Roseway Manor.

The nearly 10-acre lot is located in the Town of Shelburne, accessible off King Street backing onto Hillcrest Academy and the EHS depot.

Shelburne Mayor Harold Locke says the new, larger nursing home is great for both the town and municipality.

“We have been working to prepare water and sewer and hook ups with the engineers. It will be a good boost to the economy for the town and municipality,’ says Mayor Locke.

Owners MacLeodCares say they’re pursuing a housing development with the municipality, as 60 new jobs are expected to be created.

Locke says they’re looking at housing options for town too.

“We have a lot of possibilities for developments of housing in the Town of Shelburne. It’s looking promising, nothing has been announced but we have some serious inquiries.”

Construction is expected to start in the Spring, with a planned opening in 2027.
