South Shore Being Told To Brace For Another Storm

Environment Canada is warning people on the South Shore to be prepared for high winds and rain tomorrow.

A special weather statement has been issued indicating rainfall amounts up to 50mm and wind speeds gusting between 70 and 90km/h.

In advance of the storm, Nova Scotia Power is mobilizing personnel and resources.

They’re preparing to deal with trees that may fall on power lines after being weakened by Hurricane Dorian.

Nova Scotia Power activated its Emergency Operations Centre at noon to plan and manage its storm response.

They say the Centre will operate until the last customer is safely restored.

People can report outages by calling NS Power or by viewing the online outage map.
