Residents of the South Shore can expect a wintry mix of weather over the next two days and it’s going to bring some major temperature swings with it.
Environment Canada is forecasting a rain-snow mix for many communities on Monday but a high above zero.
However, flurries are expected after midnight and the temperature will drop to minus six with the wind-chill making it feel like minus 12.
The bitterly cold weather is expected Tuesday when the wind chill will make it feel like minus 22 in the afternoon.
Conditions are expected to improve heading into Wednesday.
Meantime, Cape Breton is expected to receive mostly snow from this system.
