South Shore hosts mixed and Junior curling championships this weekend

Starting Thursday, February 1, the South Shore will host both the Nova Scotia Mixed Curling Championships and the U15 Provincial Championships.

The Mixed Championships will be taking place out of the Liverpool curling club, with twelve teams from around the province vying for the title.

The U15 event will take place at the Bridgewater Curling Club featuring eight boys teams and eight girls teams competing in separate divisions.

Curling gets underway daily around 9:00 a.m. and will run into the early evening, with the exception of Sunday with matches scheduled to wrap up in the early afternoon.

Both curling clubs’ canteens will be open for the duration of the events and the public is invited to check out either or both events, which are admission free.
