Special weather statement for parts of N.S.

Parts of Nova Scotia are in for a very wet and windy weekend.

Environment Canada has issued a weather statement for the mainland and Cape Breton.

Up to 50 mm of rain and south winds to 90 km/hr are expected from Halifax to Victoria counties Friday evening into Saturday evening.

With a risk of pooling water on roadways and localized flooding, the forecaster advises to clear storm drains and gutters.
