Splashifax returning to Halifax

The water park known as Splashifax will be relocating to Hatfield Farm in Hammonds Plains from Wileville, Lunenburg County, where it had been operating. The park’s management believes that moving closer to Halifax will make it easier to attract customers and hire staff.

The park intends to open this summer.

Justin Pickens, the director of operations for Splashifax, expressed his excitement about the move, stating that the new location at Hatfield Farm would provide a more inclusive experience for guests. The park’s operators had previously announced in June of last year that they were moving outside of Halifax Regional Municipality.

When Splashifax was first established in 2021, its operators had considered opening it on First Lake in Lower Sackville. However, this plan was met with opposition from some local residents who did not want to reside near a water park.
