State of Emergency Extended, No New Cases Of COVID-19

No new cases of COVID-19 today for the province, however the State of Emergency has been extended.

The order takes effect at noon on Sunday, Aug. 9, and extends to noon on Sunday, Aug. 23, unless the government terminates or extends it.

There are still two active cases of COVID-19, which were identified last week.

There are now nine active cases in the Atlantic Bubble, six in New Brunswick, two in Nova Scotia and one in Newfoundland and Labrador.

PEI has no active cases.
